Hot Rod Diner in Santaquin

I'm always pleased with this place. I feel like I get a lot of food for a great price. Plus the nostalgia of order by phone is fun.

I've been ordering and going here for over 10 years and unfortunately unless the OWNER, Jeff is cooking the food is horrible. We called take out to avoid contact with others and the woman taking our order was rude, impatient, and never gave us a time to come pick up. We waited the usual 15-20 minutes for a club sandwich and burger only to wait even longer. Over an hour. Horrible customer service and might be the final straw with a childhood favorite diner. Over $20 for worst than fast food service is unacceptable!

This place is super fun. You order on a phone at your table, the food is fresh and yummy. It's very clean and inviting. It's worth driving a few miles to get here in Santiquin.

Neat little diner with a super friendly owner right outside of the big city. Worth the drive, great prices, fast/fun and friendly service to your table!

Nice hole in the wall run by a father and son. Good food, good atmosphere.

We came in there tonight for a crunch chicken salad. Highly disappointed in the food tonight. Enough so that I would take my tip back if I hadn't gotten it to go. The food didn't even fill up half the container and my salad was full of water.. I think the cooks need to be a bit better trained on presentation of food. I usually love this place!!!!

This place has an amazing atmosphere, great food, hardly any wait time. Amazing.

This is the okayest restaurant I've been to. Fries were unsalted, fry sauce was clumpy, and furniture was sticky. Service was nice, lots of elderly were there, and they had high chairs. Food was... fine. A little on the overcooked side. Overall the place is fine. Just fine. Not great. But they must have a loyal customer base due to the high ratings. Beats me how they got above 4 stars, but I respect it.

So I went there like four years ago and the service was great and they were so kind to us but I went there today and I had the worst service ever not only did we get served an hour after ordering but we got served after the people who came in after us and we got cheese fries that weren’t even what we paid for imagine paying 7.50 for cheese fries and getting 2 dollar worth that is just stupid thanks Chris

We came here for Father’s Day, it was our first time. It’s a nice little diner, the staff was very friendly and helpful. It totally has an older cafe style feel to it. I was trying to place the year era in 50s-60s but that was just me guessing. I love the old muscle car themed feel, it brought back good memories. The kids thought the phone to order with was cool, I could hear the cook/order taker through the phone and around the corner which was kind of funny but it was still fun. Not a bad place to just enjoy a meal and kick back and talk with friends or family.

Friendly service. Very cool decor! We will stop back if traveling that way again.

Enjoyed the food and the atmosphere, but my only complaint was that while waiting I could see them preparing another ticket and never saw the employees use any gloves. Not the best to be seeing them touch all the food, as well as helping customers pay and then going back to make food without washing their hands and not using gloves

Driving down the highway, you want a local place with a hot rod theme playing 50s and 60s rock n roll then stop in. They have this cute system where you call your order in from your booth. To be honest, burgers we got we're just meh. But the locals that were there were all eating breakfast at 1pm so maybe they know better than me.

Best restaurant. One of my favorite food corner at this location. Services was amazing. Sitting section was amazing with perfect lighting. Small plate was delicious.

Very friendly service, and they always make a point to make a connection every time you come in. Regular or not. The environment is a little quiet, but it also leaves lots of room for conversation and helps the social interaction. The food is very good, I come here for my favorite burger in town whenever I can. Fries are unsalted but they make an effort to balance out each dish.

This small-town diner has all the food for breakfast, burger, and sandwich needs. You sit yourself, call your order in from a phone at the table, and pick it up when ready. The drinks, condiments, and silverware are self-serve. The staff was very friendly, and accommodating for multiple checks. The food was priced very well, and I was pleased with the quality and portion. The selection of items was broad enough to make everyone in our group happy.

I love this place. Inside looks nice like from the old movie. Food is delicious and not expensive. It has own ungovernable atmosphere. When you ordering food you need to write notes what you want and than call to waiter☺

So cute!!! We ordered our meals from a red phone located on the table. The phone kept cutting in and out but the girl was finally able to get the order. When the food was ready a buzzer near our phone went off. We picked up our meal and drinks and paid the bill.The restaurant is filled with cute posters and a mural. Very 50s. Watch out though ... a picture of Elvis is in the women's bathroom and it feels like he watches every move you make! ;-)The women's bathroom could use a deep cleaning.

Fun, old diner styled atmosphere. We loved the idea of ordering by phone from the table. We had the bleu cheese burgers and they were delicious. I would definitely go again if driving through Santaquin.

Very rubbery fries.... food was microwaved my bread was suppose to be toasted I was able to bend it in half without it breaking, roasted bread should not be able to do that... the fires are usually amazing, not today again was microwaved very disappointed in my meal today..

Fast Service, fun atmosphere! Food is spot on as far as specific add extra this or take off that... Prices are between $4 and $12 plate and plenty to choose from including breakfast anytime! Great selection of drinks, fountain, bottled, coffee, or tea. Booth seating. Plenty of dipping sauces, ranch fry sauce, ketchup. Great oldies tunes playing on the speakers and matches the interior decor of the restaurant. The downer for us was the place didn't seem super clean... Such as a bit dusty in a few areas especially around the phones where you place your order. The floors a bit sticky. And the tables and booths weren't exactly new but weren't overly used and could use a deep cleaning. That's the only reason for a 4 star review. Great place to dine! Fun for groups, and right on main Street. Plenty of parking, Jeff and crew are fantastic hosts and chefs!

This was a great little diner!!! No wait staff... sit anywhere you like, grab a menu at your table. Once you decide upon your meal...grab the RED PHONE by the menu box....no kidding, a red phone. The phone rings to the kitchen area. The guy answers and you tell him your order. Self serv on the drinks and condiments. When your order is ready. He rings a bell...and points to you! When you pick up your order you pay the cook/cashier/ busboy... the food for a little diner....AMAZING!!!

Overall decent experience. Our first time in. Food wasn't bad. but the kid making the food was touching all the ready to eat food with his bare hands. Which is a major health code violation. Plus it's kind of nasty. You have to wear gloves to touch ready to eat food no matter what. So please invest in some gloves.

Tastes great, it'd be nice to see more people go here. The aesthetic is on point and the food is fantastic. I plan on going more often now that I've actually gone there now.

Had a very good experience in this place with my son. The food arrived quick and the customer service is just excellent. Prices are fair.

We sat down, looked at the menu, listened to a teenage waitress complain about every single thing she had to do, and bickered back and forth with a cook, walked out and went up the street to Santa Queen. The food might have been good but we'll never know because of an employee who sucks.

This is an affordable and adorable little 50s style diner. I've tried a couple different meals there and liked them all. Very cute names of meals for racing fans as well.
